Varsity vs Union County Centerville Varsity Bulldogs Surge Past Union County Thanks To Big First Inning By GameChanger Media Centerville Varsity Bulldogs scored five runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Union County 6-0 on Monday at Centerville Senior High School. Madi Yount doubled, scoring two runs, Aubrey Seifer singled, scoring one run, Kinley Rinehart laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, and Mykilah Pamplin grounded out, scoring one run. Centerville Varsity Bulldogs added one run in the second. Yount grounded out, making the score 6-0. Yount earned the win for Centerville Varsity Bulldogs. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. K Lingman took the loss for Union County. The starter went six innings, giving up six runs on six hits, striking out three and walking five. Yount provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Centerville Varsity Bulldogs with three runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Lilly Day, Seifer, Hannah Beaman, Haven Walter, Yount, and Willow Thacker each collected one hit for Centerville Varsity Bulldogs. Day led Centerville Varsity Bulldogs with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying five walks for the game. Centerville Varsity Bulldogs were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Seifer had the most chances in the field with 12. H Pilgrim and A Shepler each collected one hit for Union County.
