All Offense In Centerville Varsity Bulldogs Loss Against Wes-Del By GameChanger Media Centerville Varsity Bulldogs's bats were strong against Wes-Del on Monday, but it wasn't enough as Centerville Varsity Bulldogs fell 12-11. Wes-Del collected 13 hits, while Centerville Varsity Bulldogs had 12. Madi Yount drove in four runners in the loss. The right-handed hitter went 2-2 on the day. Wes-Del got on the board in the top of the first inning after Kenzie Anderson doubled, scoring two runs, and Brooklynn Eden singled, scoring one run. Wes-Del extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI doubles by Bailee West and Anderson. Centerville Varsity Bulldogs tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a hit by a pitch, a single by Aubrey Seifer, and a single by Haven Walter. Wes-Del took the lead in the top of the third. Marley Bertram tripled, scoring two runs, to give Wes-Del the lead, 7-5. In the top of the fifth, Wes-Del broke up the tie when Bertram drew a walk, scoring one run. Then a walk by Kayla Harrold followed to extend the lead to 10-8. Devyn Jaycox earned the win for Wes-Del. The reliever surrendered 10 hits and nine runs over six innings, striking out four and walking six. Seifer took the loss for Centerville Varsity Bulldogs. The starter went five innings, giving up nine runs (eight earned) on 10 hits, striking out two and walking four. West stepped in the circle first for Wes-Del. The starter allowed two hits and two runs over one inning, striking out two and walking two. Centerville Varsity Bulldogs amassed 12 hits in the game. Hannah Beaman and Walter each collected three hits for Centerville Varsity Bulldogs. Lilly Day collected two hits for Centerville Varsity Bulldogs in three at bats. Day led Centerville Varsity Bulldogs with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Shelby Life, Beaman, and Yount each stole multiple bases for Centerville Varsity Bulldogs. Centerville Varsity Bulldogs ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game. Wes-Del piled up 13 hits in the game. West went 5-for-5 at the plate to lead Wes-Del in hits. Anderson and Eden each drove in three runs for Wes-Del. Pressley Durr collected two hits for Wes-Del in five at bats. Bertram led Wes-Del with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game.
