Centerville Varsity Bulldogs Roll Past Monroe Central By GameChanger Media Centerville Varsity Bulldogs won big over Monroe Central 18-1 on Thursday at Monroe Central Jr./Sr. High School. Centerville Varsity Bulldogs got on the board in the top of the first inning after Madi Yount doubled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, a dropped third strike scored one run, Lilly Day singled, scoring two runs, and Hannah Beaman doubled, scoring two runs. Centerville Varsity Bulldogs added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Mykilah Pamplin grounded into a fielder's choice, Halle Drook grounded out, and Monroe Central dropped a third strike, each scoring one run. Centerville Varsity Bulldogs scored six runs on four hits in the top of the fifth inning. Aubrey Seifer doubled, scoring one run, Haven Walter singled, scoring one run, Day drew a walk, scoring one run, Beaman drew a walk, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored two runs. Seifer earned the win for Centerville Varsity Bulldogs. The righty allowed one hit and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking two. Kloee Brannan took the loss for Monroe Central. The pitcher went three and one-third innings, giving up 12 runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out seven and walking two. Shelby Thomas tossed one inning of zero-run ball for Centerville Varsity Bulldogs in relief. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out one and walking none. Centerville Varsity Bulldogs amassed 11 hits in the game. Day, Seifer, and Yount each collected two hits for Centerville Varsity Bulldogs. Day led Centerville Varsity Bulldogs with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Day, Seifer, Beaman, and Yount each stole multiple bases for Centerville Varsity Bulldogs. Centerville Varsity Bulldogs had a strong eye at the plate, amassing five walks for the game. Centerville Varsity Bulldogs ran wild on the base paths, piling up 12 stolen bases for the game. Zoie Hood led Monroe Central with one hit in two at bats. Laura Walker stole two bases. Centerville Varsity Bulldogs play at home on Friday against Northeastern in their next game.
