High School Girls Perform Well at Sectional Prelims

The Centerville Girls Swim Team set 14 Personal Best Swims Thursday night at Sectional Prelims in New Palestine on Thursday night. Three relay teams and three individuals qualified for Finals on Saturday. Avery Dickerson, Kenna Hemmerling, Yare Moreno-Espitia and Anna Nevels qualified third in the 400 Free Relay. Dickerson, Moreno-Espitia, Evie Morgan and Hemmerling qualified third in the 200 Free Relay. Taylor Heaston, Sylvia Dam, Nevels and Morgan qualified fourth in the 200 Medley Relay. Dickerson is seated third in the 50 Free and the 100 Free. Nevels is seated fifth in the 500 Free and 8th in the 100 Breast. Heaston is seated 6th in the 100 Back and a favorite in Diving on Saturday. Five qualified for the Consolation Finals. Moreno-Espitia is seated 9th in the 200 IM and 100 Fly. Hemmerling is seated 9th in the 500 Free and 11th in the 200 Free. Dam is seated 11th in the 100 Breast and 14th in the 200 IM. Morgan is seated 13th in the 100 Free. Kenzie Pierce is seated 15th in the 100 Fly. Diving and Swimming Finals are on Saturday.
