The Centerville Boys Basketball Team picked up a couple of wins over 3A Rushville and 4A Richmond this past week. The Bulldogs were on the Road at Rushville Wednesday night and pulled away in the 2nd half against the defensive minded Lions. Final score was 55-33. Landyn Keiser led all scorers with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Bryson Brown got in double figures with 10 points. Keith Plyley Jr. had 8 points for the Bulldogs. Landen Schlotterbeck provided a defensive lift while Kaden McCord returned to action and contributed on both ends. The Richmond Red Devils came to town on Saturday night in what was anticipated to be a competitive game between to evenly matched teams. The game lived up to the hype as fans from both Richmond and Centerville filled the bleachers and saw a game that went down to the last shot. The win was the first for the Bulldogs since the 1995-1996 season when a Coach Swiderek and Coach Soper led Centerville team beat the Red Devils on their home court. Jace Hollendonner had 9 points including clutch free throws down the stretch. Ethan Vecera had 8 points and also made 3 of 4 free throws in the final period. Landen Schlotterbeck and Coltyn Keiser played important minutes in the win. With the 2 wins the Bulldogs moved to 10-6 on the season. In the JV contests the Bulldogs had a 12 point win over Rushville 46-34 and a heart breaking 5 point loss to Richmond 34-39. In the Rushville win Coltyn Keiser led all scorers with 15 points.
