Varsity Boys Basketball starts the season off with a WIN at Eastern Hancock 70-63

The Varsity Boys Basketball Team got the win on the road Wednesday night to kick off the 2025-2026 season. The Royals battled all night with the Bulldogs as the game saw big swings in the 2nd, 3rd and final period with the Bulldogs eventually pulling away for the 70-63 win. Eastern Hancock kept the game close all night with 11 made 3's. The Bulldogs were the more physical team in the paint. Shea Hollendonner had a dominate performance totaling 28 points. Two other Bulldogs reached double figures, Ethan Vecera with 14 points and Bryson Brown with 13 points. Keith Plyley Jr. hit a big corner 3 to end the half and finished with 8 points. Jace Hollendonner, Landyn Keiser and Landen Schlotterbeck were all locked in defensively in key matchups making things difficult for the Royals. Jace Hollendonner finished with 5 points and Landyn Keiser finished with 2 points. The JV Bulldogs got off to a slow start falling behind 11 points after the 1st quarter. The dogs battled back and had the game tied in the 4th quarter before the royals knocked down back-to-back 3's. The Bulldogs never recovered and as time expired the final score was 35-50, Royals. Evan Bain led the Bulldogs with 15 points. Luke Kenny had 7 points. Darius Stewart had 4 points. Jonathan Golden and Brady Johnson each had 3 points. Bentley Grubbs had 2 points. Landen Schlotterbeck had 1 point, but saw limited minutes in order to play varsity. Your Bulldogs are back in action this Saturday 11/29 for their home opener vs Seton Catholic. Come out and support the bulldogs. JV tip at 6:00pm, with Varsity to follow.
